We took the best positions with one and half kilometres to go. I was waiting for my moment to sprint. I’m really happy I managed to win here. Some riders were very motivated to have a high heart rate today so it made it a hard and fast race today. It was particularly hard for the guys who had to chase but in the peloton it was fine. I’m always happy to come over here in the Middle East for racing and moreover with one more victory at the UAE Tour”.
